------------------------- Restored Textscreen Music Version 4 Author: Ascension64 ------------------------- OVERVIEW This small modification simply restores, and makes more consistent with the text, the music that is heard during the prologue textscreen and the dream textscreens in Baldur's Gate or Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast. Since the music is hard-coded into Baldur's Gate or Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast, this music was remixed into the narration sounds. Effort has been made to ensure the narration follows the text, so that the narrator does not narrate too far ahead of what the text shows. REQUIREMENTS BG1TuTu, EasyTutu, or Baldur's Gate Trilogy-WeiDU must be installed prior to installation of this modification. INSTALLATION 1. Extract the archive 'TxtMusic_v4.rar' to your BG1TuTu, EasyTutu or Baldur's Gate Trilogy-WeiDU installation directory. 2. Run the file 'Setup-TxtMusic.exe' in your BG1TuTu, EasyTutu, or Baldur's Gate Trilogy-WeiDU installation directory. Setup will automatically determine which platform you have installed. COMPATIBILITY There are no compatibility issues between this modification and all other modifications. USAGE Simply start a new BG1TuTu, EasyTutu, or Baldur's Gate Trilogy-WeiDU game to enjoy the music during the textscreen. TRANSLATING TO OTHER LANGUAGES If you wish to translate this modification to another language, follow the instructions below: 1. Make a duplicate copy of the \Prologue\English, and rename the duplicate 'English' folder to the language you wish to translate to. 2. Enter the new directory you just created, and open up setup.tra using Notepad or another simple word processor. Translate the text bounded by tilde (~) characters. Save the file. 3. Still in this new directory, delete A6PROLOG.OGG. 4. These sound files you will need to extract directly from the Baldur's Gate BIFF files using a utility like NearInfinity, DLTCEP, or Infinity Explorer. 5. "Votre père adoptif est plein d'entrain aujourd'hui, malgré son âge, et il vous faut courir pour le suivre. Une réunion importante avec Ulraunt, le Gardien des Livres, l'attend : une réunion importante à votre propos. C'est étrange... Vous n'en avez pas le souvenir."
