------------------------------------------------------------ Restored Prologue Textscreen Music for BG1TuTu and BGT-WeiDU Version 3 Author: Ascension64 ------------------------------------------------------------ OVERVIEW This small modification simply restores, and makes more consistent with the text, the music that is heard during the prologue textscreen in Baldur's Gate or Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast. Since the music is hard-coded into Baldur's Gate or Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast, this music was remixed into the narration sounds. Effort has been made to ensure the narration follows the text, so that the narrator does not narrate too far ahead of what the text shows. REQUIREMENTS BG1TuTu or Baldur's Gate Trilogy-WeiDU must be installed prior to installation of this modification. INSTALLATION 1. Extract the archive 'Prologue_v2.rar' to your BG1TuTu or Baldur's Gate Trilogy-WeiDU installation directory. 2. Run the file 'Setup-Prologue.exe' in your BG1TuTu or Baldur's Gate Trilogy-WeiDU installation directory. Setup will automatically determine which platform you have installed. COMPATIBILITY There are no compatibility issues between this modification and all other modifications. USAGE Simply start a new BG1TuTu or Baldur's Gate Trilogy-WeiDU game to enjoy the music during the textscreen. TRANSLATING TO OTHER LANGUAGES If you wish to translate this modification to another language, follow the instructions below: 1. Make a duplicate copy of the \Prologue\English, and rename the duplicate 'English' folder to the language you wish to translate to. 2. Enter the new directory you just created, and open up setup.tra using Notepad or another simple word processor. Translate the text bounded by tilde (~) characters. Save the file. 3. Still in this new directory, delete A6PROLOG.OGG. 4. Archive this new directory, along with INTRO01F.WAV, INTRO02F.WAV, INTRO03.WAV, and INTROADD.WAV from your Baldur's Gate or Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast installation. These sound files you will need to extract directly from the Baldur's Gate BIFF files using a utility like NearInfinity, DLTCEP, or Infinity Explorer. 5.
